Gillespie Park and Islington Ecology Centre visit

Our group had a lovely gathering at the Ecology Centre, followed by a tour of Gillespie Park.

Sally Oldfield and Jo Corrall, of Islington's Park team, were very welcoming hosts. Sally shared some interesting facts about the development of Gillespie park, the birds and butterflies that habit the nature reserve and introduced us to wild garlic plants which were growing in the park.
